CCA?
Today in MJC, and maybe other JCs, we could visit lots of booths to select our CCA. In MJC, I can only take one CCA, so that's good for me. I'm not entirely sure what I'll choose, but I've got an idea. I'm going to try for Science Society, Business Club, and maybe Bowling. I've decided against Table Tennis, its just way too competitive (and my reflexes have degenerated badly).
Also, I've got advice from seniors that if I don't make the school team and compete, I won't get much down in my profile. Anyway, in sports where one or two players compete and fail badly, the rest of the CCA will look down on you. I don't want that on me. So I'm going to try for Clubs and Societies. Besides, they become increasing important in JC, mostly because the students here are older and can take on (and suggest) more effective tasks.
On a lighter note, the older batch seem very active in giving out pamplets, tokens, and what have you. Probably because they want to finish the quota they are holding. One funny incident was when I was just walking down a walkway when some girl pushed a piece of paper at me after walking past. Anyway, the note was an advert for the Soccer Girls'. My friend and I saw it and laughed, he said I failed the first requirement. (I also fail the second, lacking skill nor interest in soccer) Well I'm more than sure it was intentional, but its still funny.
Regarding something else, I was asked to join the commitee for the church youth group. I agreed, but I don't feel entirely confident of being able to lead a group of people in Bible Study (though first I must learn to prepare).
