You Raise Me Up
I slipped and fell yesterday, and got back up quickly with use of a roll. However I landed on my knee sometime within the action, and now it's bruised badly. Or ripped in the skin. Anyway I'll be in recovery for a fortnight or so, hopefully it'll repair some of the improper healing of my previous fall.
Meanwhile I'm swamped with tasks that I don't feel like getting started on in the hols. Pray that I'll get to it, I mustn't waste my time. I've also been looking for people to help, though the holiday is too short for me already.
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
[repeat]
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
[repeat]
