Transient

Much of what I do shall fade away, I refuse to hold them dear, detaching myself away..

The match today was intense. VJC lost 2-1, but I will say that our guys played with more sportsmanship, ya know, less violently. With regard to cheering, I can't say who did the louder, since I wasn't in the middle of the stands. However MJC seemed to only cheer wildly at the start and finish. Of course, the Meridians were far more organised, what with most everybody seated, especially at the upper stands. On the other hand, others may say that VJC shows it's enthusiasm by not being so rigid and letting everyone loose, but I think something needs to be done about the upper stands.

Of course, about MJC's win, I think they need it. Having lost the finals for the last 2 years, they've gotta win sometime.. though I don't think their players deserve it. They were excessively rowdy after time-out, not to mention rough play. Anyway, a PE teacher said the MJC team was largely DSA, I'm not sure if it's exaggeration. I've heard one refutal, would anybody like to help clear things out?

Now I didn't manage to get my hands on the flag. I don't think the flagbearers did a good job either. Some lack of meritocracy, what with all the translucent red tape. I eventually got over disappointment, realising little actually mattered (swing or not, win or not), then I stood and shouted myself a bit hoarse. I recovered already; see, I don't lose voice easily. Oh, and despite all my talk about soccer lately, no, I still generally dislike the game. To cite a mathematical reason, the infrequency of goals leave a high margin of error in rewarding the best team.

After the game, I waited to board a coach back to VJC. There wasn't enough space for all on the last bus, so I volunteered to get off the bus which was packed with foreign scholars. We were told another coach would come, but I sorta knew it was an empty promise. So it was, and I left to take public transport back, having lost time which might have been better spent. Yet such is life, I guess, where imperfection afflicts everything..

Semester 1 Term 2 is passing. There will soon be only a quarter of my JC life left. The holidays ahead shall have to be my most pressuring ever. By the way, KS' Study Camp isn't going to have registration forms. We don't really need their parent's consent at their age, nor do I want to chase people to attend. However, the fee of $10 will still be there.

15 more posts to 200 (total 300)! Then I'll get a revamp, which is scheduled to begin on the day Earth is furthest from the Sun.
