dissent
I have to stop stressing over being incompetent, and accept that I am thus, thereby allowing me to trust in the Lord.
I have begun revision, by means of completing a Math paper (which was supposed to be practice for the test earlier in March). Still, it is in my hopes that the steady type of work Math presents will help me to adjust back to studying; then I will progress to the more concept-based subjects of Physics and Chemistry. I have not been able to edit the Robotics website yet, should it come to the worst I'll have to type out all the plans and submit it as my work.
Just now I have browsed through articles and posts, many of which I do disagree with. It was in my opinion that Chee Soon Juan is displaying a poor Christian testimonial, what with his spouting arguments (nonsense or otherwise) and then claiming he got nothing to lose as his Christian faith will keep him. (an' I'm tempted to say it is but nominal, but for charity's sake I will say he is misled) He would do better to observe the advice the Bible gives about submitting to the governing authority, and not publicising half-truths or issues without a well-researched backing. The above thoughts have been rather tested as I have read people's comments on his actions as needed attempts to free up Singapore. It seems true, then, that I am rather conservative, but I don't think Singapore needs drastic changing.
Besides the substantial anti-PAP netizen base, there were other websites that I chanced upon that filled me with some anxiety. It seems that the work of the ministry is being redefined in many churches to drift away from dogma, focusing on application. This is due to the average person's disinterest in theology (and by extension, the world's disinterest in God). Whilst I agree that application is very crucial to produce a good testimony, a sturdy foundation in the teachings of the Bible must come first, so that the works performed would be righteous. Of course, I would that all people will see that it is necessary to find out the reasons for oneself whether an act is right or wrong, not merely trusting what a minister says is his conclusion. So I would advocate guidance rather than 'spoon-feeding' or ignorance.
I never though I'd type this, but I'll stop here and 'get back to work'. XD
